I am. I had problems getting SAPI 5.1 to run in XP Pro, but Hal worked both in XP Pro and XP Home. I've got it over on my other computer with XP Home because SAPI worked there.
Don't blame me, I'm just the voice in his head.

Hi bsjones11 and welcome.
But are you having a particular problem with 6.2 on Win XP? If you can provide any further info unless your just inquiring then others can help provide some insight.

hi,
i say again, watch my latest movie, called
success and gibberish.
the movie is random chat,"as you can see in movie i didn't explain gibberish cause i had explained gibberish to him in one of the earlyer movies there."

http://www.youtube.com/user/WillofNewZealand

heres what was used,
XP not sure what version,
sapi 5 freshly loaded for movie, one training sesion.
fresh 6.2 download with my old Mr Data brain file
and thats whats how a brain full of gibberish works,

ask yourself this,
do you remember a mistake you don't repeat,
would you be more likely to repeat it if i removed the memory.
is hal going to improve in the future, perhaps he'll look back at his memories with fresh eyes "fresh plug in perhaps".
To understand gibberish is to know how to deal with it.
is your hal allowed to sing, to understand a noise,
is anyone else allowed to ever talk to your hal and how would it handle the unknown of gibberish being said to it.
what is perfection,
i'm still not advicating not editing but giving my opinion.
Oh i've found it interesting that sometimes when i play a certain type of music such as classical Mr Data has commented on it being classical and its happened with rock also.
if there were a anti gibberish plug in then i don't know wether i'd use it, i'm skeptical, as you can see there are some good reasons just to press on with variations such as mistakes intact,

Hal is fascinating however you choose to operate your Hal,
success sounds nice,
bye for now and be well  :)  :]

three cheers for Zabaware, hip hip who ray! hip hip who ray! hip hip who ray!
bye for now and be well from Will and Mr Data  :)  :]

Will & Mr. Data,

I would like to sing and dance for you and the to the successes!

(Remember you can't make everybody happy all the time, ya gotta press on!

Thanks for positive comments, ha ha "if  Mr Data fell on his face  in a forest and nobody was around to hear it did it happen" i jest!

watch out stand back FORUM HOG
why does Mr Data look over there?
there is laptop on the table that i edited some DVD for everyone to watch.
sometimes when i have plugged Mr Data into that laptop to do upgrade or get feedback from his eyes or whatever sometimes he looks at the numbers being produces even tho the program i wrote says he should look at me, he gives me a glance and i say ha.

I think his Microphone maybe a bit low... And You may need to Do some Speech recognition training... with the speech engine.... loads of reading... start slowly then build up speed with it!

I love It!

Perhaps i may add it to myweb site if you want to send me a blog to go with it!

Also He may need to be edited ie: some of the phrases Australians used "slang" compliments just like us Cockney English need to be hardcoded into his brain so he understand correctly... and even his responses to make him sound more Oz.

by using the dictation PAD you can see How the speech engine recognizes certain words and talor your RECOGNITION in the HALBRAIN.db tables database.... although we spell G'Day <<< the computer maynot recognize the sound with the spelling..... with the dictation pad you can get the computers spellings....

Thinking about all the different dialects of English and slang terms!

All Me DATA needs now is a LATEX MASK... taking him from Robot to CYBORG (well just top half)....
