Bobble Headed Groover
« on: April 19, 2008, 03:23:26 pm »
Hi guys,

I am looking for a way to get the character to automatically groove when music is played in winamp. Not looking for dancing characters. I am looking for a simple bobble head type motion that grooves to the beat. Just an up and down head motion that runs automatically if I play an mp3. Any ideas? Thanks- Oog.

ARRG,

Sorry, this triggered a Max Headroom Flash back [:p]

(I dont know enough about character animation, but im not sure if it can work off of the actually music output levels, but may be able to do ramdom movements.)

What if the input was coming through the mic?

P.S. If you are picturing Max Headroom then we are not talking about the same thing. Think groovin down the road with the windows down listening to a fat beat.

I know of a possible way of achieving your idea but the reaction time
of the HAP characters head would not be able to keep up with most music
beats, it would appear more random than anything.

Perhaps if one could select the musical timing ie 4/4 or what have you...?
