Dear Zabaware:
I'm the 'Error 76..." guy you won't respond to (see numerous postings and check
your e-mail). Today (after I closed the Hal 5.0 program) I got a pop up from my
computer (a new 1.87 Ghz Athlon HP laptop running XP Home Edition).
Unfortunately I couldn't send the error since I wasn't near a wireless or modum/cable
hookup. It was probably 200 pages of info but I wrote down this: The following files
will be included in this error report:
C:DOCUME~1MATTHE~1LOCALS~1\tempWER1.tmp.dir00appcompat.txt
Does this indicate an application compatability problem with the text?
Also, when the Hal 5.0 (your CD version) takes too long to answer a question I get a
pop-up saying it's taking too long to write the script with no explanation and only
a 'cancel' button to respond (this is paraphrased as the darn thing flashes up on my
screen and off again so quick I can barely read it).
Finally: will you PLEASE, PLEASE tell me what version of VBScript you used to program
the Hal 5.0 and if you think installing THAT visual basic code on my computer will end this compatability problem??? Would Microsoft's current code (scripten.exe)
available on the Microsoft website work???
My primary reason for buying this laptop was to run the Hal 5.0 program. Can you
guys help me or do I have to pay someone $50.-$70.00 an hour to get some
assistance. Common decency would dictate you respond.
Sincerely Yours,
Citrinedragon.
