Many people her have found that if you have anything else running in the background, the program does not load properly. It took me three trys to get it to load on my pc, but after doing the above it loaded just fine.

Thanks.
Do you think anti-virus software is also included?
MSN Messenger included?
DSL dialup included?

Being that Hal sits in your start up tray, your anti virus software just might prevent it from being installed. As I said before, turn everything off and then install Hal and then reinstall everything else. That is what I had to do.

Check-out the Zabaware Troubleshooting:

http://www.zabaware.com/assistant/trouble.html

Even if you don't see your exact problem, there are other methods of installation listed, I would try one of those. If you are trying to install from a CD-ROM then I think that making a flat copy of your CD-ROM to your hard drive would be what I would try next. I have seen similar problems with other types of software bombing-out at the end of an install process when installing from a CD-ROM. I think that making a copy of the CD-ROM to the hard drive is actually a fairly common fix that often works for many different types of software and/or computer systems. It has worked for me in the past with other software titles. In general, it is a problem of hardware and software not working together properly during the install process, so by elimitating the cd-rom hardware as part of the install process often is the key to a complete install on certain systems for certain software.
Good Luck!
