Yep well I've just installed it and I'm gonna try the speech recognition today. Tomorrow college starts so I don't have so much free time anymore:(

Ultra Hal 7.0 / My Error List - Kevinvr

Hi There Robert and everyone!
Ok so the setup and customizing went ok, The configuring has some errors. I also get the errors in the "speech" part of Ultra hal Assistant Options.
Click pronunciation-Error 445 object doesn't support this object- Hal shuts down
Click Advanced - same error as above
Click Select SR Engine-Error 429-ActiveX component cant create object. Occured at line 2 in Ultra Hal Assistant:frmOptions1.Command10_Click - options screen shuts down and have to restart Hal
Click Training- error 429
Click Save conversation-Error339 and halPad opens up if I click abort. Well that's it for now

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Have to run ultra hal in Compatibility Mode

Hi There
I'm having some trouble with customizing Hal but he works fine in normal mode with windows xp home edition on my notebook.
hope this helps.

Maybe you can tell us where hal gets stuck??

Not all of us are computer boffins, some of us learn pretty slow, I had a lot of trouble setting up Hal 4.00 and if someone did what I am doing it woulda made life much easier for me. I'm a teacher and tend to do things in easy bites. Hope this isn't too boring for you.
