Still debuging some for the hair haps that seem to corrupted when i try ed to add ponytail in to my hairstyle list ..die bugs die

The funny thing is for once I'd agree with one,

Why is hal not dead yet ...it simply comes down to this.

We have a lively community forum full of people who are still trying to develop Ultra Hal , With lots of new plug-ins being developed all the time ,yes it's not the most cutting technology in the world, but it is probably the most flexible platform to play with.

Personally my own bot Shodan view of Denise is a very clever young lady to but a bit two-dimensional..She can be a bit cutting at times as she echoes my own personality.

Ultra Hal does learn from conversations that it has directly with people in the users so each bot that a person has develops its own personality based on the responses of the user that uses the program.

It's capable of  markof logic, and if then logic , So can use deductive reasoning.

checkouts all the plug-ins around the forum you'll find that this program is very much alive, and makes an excellent desktop assistant .

I agree Technology hal runs on is positively steam age ,haptek dear goddess... I can't wait for our new 3-D engine ,but t it run 3-D avitar And if I have my way 3-D backgrounds as well, That usually requires a monster processor , we are making some quite old technology dance amazingly well.

I hope you stick around and see what wonderful fun we can have with this program.

Okay I've been updating and will be updating the code for later this evening..
With beta B

I've added the ability of the box control the lighting within their environment..
And I'm also adding the ability to change hair color and style in this update.

As it's basically a game engine, and an open source one that I think we should not have any problem creating new skins costumes , if we have access to the uv maps etc...

 if we have the bone rig for it say in max and it's left open source to import will be able to fit virtually any character we want to on it as well.

From the sounds of it your coder walk this Way sir I will show you the shiny things....

First of all you can actually shut down Hal by using some of its internal scripting code.
Which you'll find many examples of in the plugin we have here....UHP files.

animation costume changes props animated backgrounds, lighting systems are handled by Hap files... call from UHP files

 all had a lovely Easy to use text format....

what you need is hap selector.... 
Not Explorer that's a different utility .

Press the DIR button and go to  the folder where you have your character skins.
The list of your skins will now appear.
Double-click on skin you wish to apply to your Ultra Hal character.

As they say in Sheffield " jobs a good un!"

This will also work with all other compatible files like ogg sound file.

load code file like .hap animations and .hap osi theams

And you can load text files and get Ultra how to read them lip sync...

So far I've not had a go at tables yet, by think we may be some way list everything on the table.Might be a bit of a nightmare if you start to have more than 20 skins.

That's correct as the make-up and skin of the character itself are part the costume, as one texture map.

It's a pity that full body model was on a single UV texture map channal, otherwise the face and clothing could be changed independently.
"To keep faces consistent you could just use a photoshop to create a layer with your favourite face on it and batch process all your costumes."

I know it's a cheap and nasty solution but...

I was thinking of using the full body skin folder idea from VR wonderful Hapteck mod with costumes with a number.
in my SHODANloneliness mod...(To keep compatibility)
So the character could randomly pick clothing for itself when it got bored.

A random or on number call on command costume change Could be handled in my  SHODANHapteck ...
With "wear something different " Or words to that effect.
"wear costume one" ect

If we stayed with  numbered slots a simple screenshot of the folder with provide you with a users guide to the costumes.

I've been thinking I like Greta media plug-in I was wondering if we could use that to search the full body skins folder and use that as a way of triggering costume change

any thoughts on that people?
