I'm also having the same problem of Hal answering before I've finished typing.  I'm afraid I don't have any solutions though. At least we are all having the same problem - I'm hoping that there will be one fix.

I am having the exact same problems with Ultra Hal V. 5 (download version) as Rich A.  I also had the free version and upgraded.
