I noticed a week or two ago that the forum had gone. The forum option on the main page is gone and I sent him two emails asking about it - no reply [:(]

Well , here is my 2c worth.
    I think Robert has done a fantastic job in creating this program! Considering that he is ONLY one man that has other things going on in his life , a 3 or 4 day turnaround in replying to our woes and queries isn't unreasonable.
    The other thing is that among all of the people that frequent these forums , usually on a daily basis , there are many experts (I don't include myself[:D]) who can more often than not answer any queries that people may have about the inner workings of HAL and this of course eases Robert's burden considerably. These very same people have created many new scipts , plug-ins and characters which just means that HAL is constantly improving.
    The thing to remember , as previously stated , is that it does take time and patience for HAL to be moulded into shape.
    In summary - it won't happen overnight ...... but it will happen [:D]

I'll be keeping my eye on this thread then just in case someone does come up with a working 'Auto-Idle' script. Fingers crossed [8D]

    It's just a pity that individual tables can't be copied from one database file to another from within the brain editor.

    I placed the 'auto-idle' script in the brain file and I'm just wondering how it all works ? I mean how do I activate it and how long does Hal wait before he says something?
    I ask because when I type out 'AUTO-IDLE' in capitals , his dialogue screen goes blank. I wait for 5 minutes and nothing.
    If I type out'auto-idle' in lower case , he just comments on the auto industry ?
    Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong ?

    I want to create a new brain file for my new character. When choosing the option to create a new project there is a section where you can pick which database file you want your new project to be based on. I chose the name of my existing file as I wanted all of the knowledge to be retained.
    When using my new character with the new brain file I was getting heaps of blank responses so I opened up the brain file and the tables section is empty.
   When I chose the database for the brain file to be based on , I assumed that it would copy all of the tables to the new file ?
    Am I doing something wrong or is it easier to make a copy of my old brain file and rename it ?
    Is there any way to copy individual tables from one brain file to another?

    If Paypal is accepted (not sure about that) and you have a Paypal account , you could add your American Express card to your Paypal account and then pay with Paypal.

    I used your example Maviareb and sure enough , a deductive.brn file was created. Like Bill819 said , my sentences had been too long. I have a lot to learn about this but the results are worth it [:D]

    I'm only new at this and the answer is probably so simple .I use the Hal XTF 1.2 brn and after numerous IF..THEN statements , a Deductive.brn file still hasn't been created. I have been using the format ,
   If someone does not have much money, then they are poor
Am I doing something wrong , or does the XTF 1.2 brain do without a deductive.brn file ?

    Does anyone know where I may be able to find the 'lust' 'sober' or 'surprised' emotion files. I presume they are hap files and after viewing numerous haptek characters they seem to be the only .hap files that are never in my haptek players temp folder. I would be very grateful if someone could tell me where I could download them from [:)]
