When Hal starts insted of using my name Hal will say "left bracket right bracket :" and then say her name the date and time. However, when I check the startup section in options and click the update button Hal will say the greeting as writen. What is the problem?

I even updated Hal to 6.1 and I still have the same problem.

I would like to start Hal 6.0.103 as a clean slate, would my serial number from 6.0 activate the new version?

I am having trouble getting Hal to remember email addresses. I say Rick's email address is (give address) Hal will say E-mail Rick thats it. Is there a way to write it in?

Can Hal use any voice from any company? I found a lot of different companies
that sell voices but use different engines to run them.

ScanSoft has Dragon version 8 out, would this be a better upgrade than version 7
using WinXP Pro?

Looks like I need a new headset, thanks for the help.

I use a net-to-phone headset to talk to Hal.
I've done ten trainning sessions, and I still
get a lot of words I have not spoken printed
on Hals screen. Words pop up even when I am
not speaking.

I reinstalled the program now Hal works fine thanks the help

Each time I start Hal from my task bar an error 5 message pops up that reads Invalid procedure call or argument occureed at line 1 in Ultra Hal assistant; FRmAss LoadSR

My OS is MS Windows XP Pro with SP2.

To get around this problem I select igore.

Any help would be great Richard
