hello everyone, I am working on a brain extension, however I am at a bit of a stump. Need to know if anyone can tell me how to get hal to automatically read a .brn file into an exsisting brain. Without me having to do it manually...

I would like to ask a question about how hal stores information.

For example if I was to collect information with a web crawler and store it in hals database. How is it stored?

Debug Information (in order of occurence)
   OpenDatabase: c:Program FilesabawareUltra Hal Assistant 6HalBrain.db
       Result: True
       Time: 0.016
   CloseDatabase
       Time: 0.02

hey everyone since upgrading to hal 6.2 everytime i type something into hal e.g. "hi, how are you? he does not respond. Does anyonw know what might be wrong with him.

Hey everyone, Im using Ultra Hal on vista and im having problems when I open the program. It will not open and everytime I try it comes up with this error message.

Component 'msinet.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file missing or invalid.

Can anyone help please. Not sure what to do.

hey everyone im pretty new to hal. I was just wondering, does anybody know if the cyborg head from desktopmates.com is a stand alone character or does it appear in a window like the standard hal skin interface.

I also wanted to know if I would change the size of the cyborg head. Does any know the answer to these questions. Would be great help.

Hey I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to load my hal robot onto another computer my computer just crashed and I cant retreive the bot that when with it. But can I just use the serial code on a new computer or will that not work?

Hello, Im new to hal and I want to teach hal to become my research assistant.
So my question is, How do I put a large amount of information into hals brain? Example I would like to program a book into hal so he has the equivialent of having read that book.
