well actually SMF is very well known for weak security. I uised to use them all the time but got tired of constantly getting hacked, and spammed. me myself i prefer phpbb 3.0 since they finally cleaned up the code. add the stargate portal to it and you have a nice layout and a really good setup for a website.Also have you thought about teaching one of the bots to notice spammers and auto delete/ban them?

Ok basically I am looking for a way to use hal and have it able to not just iopen programs but also use them. is there a way this can be done? I have seen other chat bots that can access games in web browsers and learn how to play the game. However what I would like it to do is to be able to learn from a ebook or text document. that way I could just, for lack of a better word, insert the book into hal and he now knows everything that book had to say.

By doing this I believe it would greatly increase Hal's capabilities, and allow him to learn 1000 times faster. Combine that with the ability to actually use programs on the computer and you would have him able to not only learn from txt documents or books but also use that knowledge to help teach.

ok and which ones don't use the QABrain type? I have tried to add it using all the types of tables and it didnt work for any of them.

ok the insertbrn file won't light up for me to select it. i created a folder called it languages, inside that i created a brain called Spanish. I selected that and went to tables for hte drop down and nothing.

Yes I just got a few .brn files and am trying to figure out how to add them to my hal 6.2
