Can some1 please tell me how to teach Hal (or Franky as I called him) new words? I tried already:

Yeeoow is Hello.
If yeeoow, then hello.
Or with a text file containing "yeeoow means hello".

But nothing worked. Can some1 help me please?

svenny,
Welcome to the forum. Hal doesn't learn those sorts of relationships. He will remember what you taught him. If you ask him, "Yeeoow means what?", he might (or might not) answer back, "Yeeoow means hello.".

Hal will remember what you tell him and know it is related to a particular topic. Generally he will not create new knowledge based on your input.

It is possible with a little programming for Hal to know "Yeeoow" is the equivalent of "Hello". I don't think there is a distinct advantage in doing this.

The best way to teach Hal is to converse with him. Stick to single sentences at a time. Don't use slang. Good spelling is always an advantage. Talk to Hal for a week or two and you will see some results. As you and Hal get to know each other you will understand how and what Hal learns best.

Good luck. If you have questions you know where to find us.
