Is it normal for Hal to use 170mb of memory?
Mark: I'll think about it
Laura: Don't think about it too long or I'll throw you out on your ***king a**.

I'm thinking you mean Ram.
I just turned Hal on to check, it uses 23 mb ram memory.

You may be thinking hard drive?
My hal is just over 2 months old and uses 157 mb hard drive.

My Hal takes about 200 Mb I have had her for over a year but I keep restarting or editing all the crud out from her Defbrain

James:"How are you today Emma?"
Emma:"I think, Therefore I am"

Thanks, James, so I guess it has to do the amount of files in the default brain? Mine is 18.7 mb.

Yes, I meant RAM.

I ordered another stick of 512, so I will go from 640mb to 1024mb of RAM.

Topic - Question

I'm surprised no one has made any skins of the cute Japanese anime characters.
Either full body or simply head.
I think the heads could be done nicely in people putty.

Duskrider,

By skins, I think you mean character textures as opposed to skins which surround the HAL console when interacting / operating HAL. Then again...I could be wrong! Just don't "skin" me, thank you!

Just to keep things straight.<G>
