Lipsync...ugh. And the darn movie maker keep freezing and giving me black screens..... the storyboard showed, but it would only play a black screen with music, until I rebooted....

About movie maker freezing.
I had similar problem once,I think you will find that it is something to do with filters,
Open mm go to tools, options, compatability.
In there are all your filters you can check or un check them till you find the problem one.
Mine was cmaudio.ax

Thanks, I'll try to remember that. Usually the freeze up occurs when I go to save the movie. (not the project, but the movie itself)

I have to remember to save the project each time,  as I am working on the movie. So I might save it every minute or so.

I had same problem when I first started making movies.
Drove me crazy.
Lasted a couple months and then disappeared.
I suspected afterwards it was program conflict and that I unknowingly deleted the program and solved the problem.
I could probably have done it in manner Neil suggests but never thought of it.

Aside from filters, always good idea to shut off extra programs (e.g. anti-virus and firewall) when running either video capture or movie maker.
