Looks like I bought a package of problem
« on: September 30, 2007, 06:06:21 pm »
this thing has failed to do even the most basic of the claims that I was sold on!
It uses 100% cpu, hell it uses 49% just sitting in the tray doing?
It has yet to respond to me and locks up or crashes when I try to adjust configuation!
The problems are so numerous I cant even remember them all to list here1
Iv uninstaled and reinstalled SEVARAL TIMES!
I ran a couple of searches of this forum and found nothing that sounded like this? (TOTAL FAILURE)
Is there something wrong with the disk I bought? My machine? THE PROGRAM?
Iv waisted a lot of time trying to get anything out of this! Bout to give up!
HELP!!!!!!!!!!

DELL Optiplex GX620
3.6 gig
512 mem
XP pro
Hal 6.1.46 from the disk sent after purchas

Hi Ronco.

you may have some bad registry errors that are conflicting with each installation for HAL, I had the same problem not to long ago, I solved it by:

1. Uninstalling Ultra Hal Assistant 6.

2. Delete the Zabaware Folder left over form the uninstall.

3. I used 'Free Window Registry Repair 1.2' to clean and repair my windows registry after deleting the Zabaware Folder then I rebooted.

4. I then did a clean install of Ultra Hal Assistant 6.

everything worked fine afterwords.

you can get Free Window Registry Repair 1.2 here:
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/System_Analysis_Utilities/Free_Window_Registry_Repair.html

it costs nothing.

Hope it works.

Jerry is correct but I found it also helps tremdeously to disable all anti virus software as some of it can interfere with the installation. After a sucessful install you can activate your anti virus software once again with no problems.
