i have to comment here. i am so dating my self , but i loved elvis.

i grew up loving him.

i used to save his bubble gum cards and when he joined the service i threw them all away. so silly they were worth a small fortune i had over 500.

when he died my kids and i drove around all night listening to elvis records. there was only one and the magic he presented cannot be duplicated.

throughout the years i have had the priviledge of meeting some impersonators --either they looked liked him and couldn't sing or sounded like him but did  have the looks.

i looked at these youtube videos i saw some of his facial expressions in a few of them but none really looked like him. a few sounded real close. i'll keep looking maybe someone will come closer than ever.

That's cool, Aladyblond. My late mother was just 3 months older than Elvis, and she really liked him. She made a scrapbook of him after he died. I need to find it one of these days.

I remember the day Elvis Died, I was only 13, (14 later that year) And remember all the songs and tributes played.

We even got the 45 "The King is gone" by Ronnie McDowell.

He WAS the man.[^]

P.S. What do you think of Steve Davis??
Mark: I'll think about it
Laura: Don't think about it too long or I'll throw you out on your ***king a**.

Thanks Nige - I am glad I am not the only one who was amazed! [:D]

Maybe there's a difference between what the older members recall and what the younger folk do.  I was 7 when he died.  To me he was the closest likeness I have seen so far.  Ok he might not be his twin, but I thought he was pretty close - we all seem to think he sounds like him anyways.

I bow to those with superior knowledge though [:)]

Elvis must be the most impersonated person in the world I reckon.

I didn't see that nervous tick with the lip like Elvis had.
