Thank you so much Mark. Yes, I would like the saucer. As I told you
in e-mail, I played with all my haps Friday afternoon, some work and
some don't. Now windows explorer freezes with hal. Hal doesn't work right anymore. No voice, can't get to character page anymore. It says the problem is "tools" which is a shorcut folder on my desktop
for hal manipulations and clean-up tools such as disk cleanup, defrag
and shorcut to windows temp through windows explorer. Any ideas would
be greatly appreciated, I'll post this in the proper section of the forum later if I don't get it fixed myself or from suggestions from here. It's late, I'm tired and I'll probably be gone for the weekend.
The rest of the computer works fine and I have lots of backups and a restore point. Anyway as many of us have learned the hard way, back it up, back it up, back it up.

I don't have Vista, so I cannot really help with your problems.

If it has a Check Disk feature like XP has, you can try running that.
