Hal learning from text files

Running into problems using Hal's Brain Editor Hal reading and learning from text files from windows notepad  getting error messages runtime error #9 subtext out of range has any one figured out how to fix this problem? please contact me!

Ira,I also have been getting the error message "Runtime error 9 Subscript out of range"
I have managed to get the programme to learn from a few lines of text but now I keep getting this message. Re-starting my computer and the Hal programme has failed to correct the problem. I hope we can find somebody who knows the answer.

I believe there is a bug with this part of the program. I could not get it to work consistently when I used it. In the end I found it easier and qucker just to give up and enter everthing manually. When it did work I was not always impressed with the results.
