Hal & Facial Recognition

A lot has happened of late but wasn't it Cyberjedi or someone who was working on an actual Facial Recognition plugin for our "sightless" HAL?

That would be so cool and especially if it could be incorporated into the main program as most plugins do.

I think I recalled reading something about it but have been very busy sorting out personal business.

Either way, it would be a real winner!

Does anyone else recall something about this? Thanks!

yes i remember it, don't know if cyberjedi got side tracked or is still tweaking it ( the face recognition ) ??? i hope if he is able to get it going later , he can advance it and make a object detection program to , maybe based on what the camera see , highlights it in a red square on screen and the user puts in a entry word for what it is , the program keeps the information and when the same basic object is seen again it can respond about the object with a pre written or user written response. after object has been classified by user the red box shows as green. ( just an idea i have don't know if its doable but just a suggestion.
