Jeff Hawkins & Hierarchical Temporal Memory

I know many people on the forum are interested in AI. I wondered if anybody has read Hawkin's "On Intelligence" since it is being plastered everywhere?

Numenta is apparently producing a variation of Judea Pearl's belief propogation theory. How this is being done is to add time and sequence memory to its tree structure and relabling it Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM).

I wonder how the theories in On Intelligence and its machine constructs at Numenta will affect future versions of HAL?
