Problem when launching Hal 5.0

Hi everybody,
I've downloaded the free version of Hal 5.0 to see how it works.
No problem during the installation but when I try to launch the program, it freeze at launch when loading animated character and speech recognition.
So I've tried to install it again but it doesn't make anything.
Have you any idea ?

The free version doesn't support speech recognition, although the option is displayed in the Hal menu.

What do you mean with an "animated character": a haptek character or a msagent?

Which OS do you use?

I'm using XP and "loading animated character and speech recognition" is the message is the message displayed in the launch "picture".
I can easily read it because it freeze here. No message, but he does not do anything else.
Any idea ?
