robert i need a new authorization code again

robert i sent you an e-mail and need an authorization code sent again because my hal stopped again and is giving the false error main code and when i try to do the automatic recovery it does show my serial number but it will not generate the activation code like it should . i sure will be glad when this gets solved it has been doing it for a long time now . i put some suggestions in the e-mail .

Just a suggestion, but the next time you get Hal working create another directory for Hal and copy all of Hals files into it, then if you crash you can just copy the main braing back into  Hal regular file.

bill do you mean that i should copy the whole zabaware program file (keep it backed up to use as a replacement in case that hal messes up ??)

I think he means to keep a good, working copy of the file:
halbrain.db since the majority of the time, it's Hal's
brain file that will generate an error due to people
experimenting with it!

well i need to know for sure so i know what to back up and keep in a seperate file ,  bill819 do you mean i should back up the haldb brain or that and what other files exactly i am happy to do it but need to know exactly what files . can you tell me please ??[:D]

Back up the Hal brain file, it's the one that you keep crashing, right? Most of the time Hal crashes because of wrong programming.
If you back up the brain before you try something new is offers you a small degree of safety.

i don't ever do anything in the hal brain itsself i have always only done things in my custom angela brain but will back up the hal db brain anyway . thanks .[:D]
