Jack,
I was thinking about stuff and was wondering if I have insulted you by not taking you up on your offer to be lead character artist. Please, let me clarify. If I could, I would. I know what an honor it is that you offer me that. I do not want to take on something that I can't come through with. My health is not so hot and I can't say how long I will be able to continue doing this. Let's just enjoy what we do and not think too much about tomorrow.

I admire how humble you are about people's admiration. I can tell you that it goes beyond you being a pioneer in the genre. I think you are the King because you are also one hell of a good guy and I can speak from experience that you have always been willing to help. I wish you had a book of techniques for me to study about character creation.

Please know that what you offered me is greatly appreciated and I in no way want to come acrossed as anything but humbled and honored because that is exactly how I feel. Let's collaborate on something. I think it would be fun and cool.

Thanks Jack. Let's make some characters! Did you get a chance to check out the car character? He's really rough looking right now but he should look pretty cool once I get him touched up and his position corrected. Man the eyes on the girls on your site are too good!

I was wondering if you might do me a favor? If I gave you the names of a few of the girls that I had in mind, could you tweak them a little for me? I'm looking for mysterious and beautiful enchanted forest looking girls. A witch. A Nymph. A Druidess. An Elf. I think it could be done by tweaking the clothing on the textures or adding an ivy crown or "elfie" makeup. I know it's kind of a messed up request but I'm hoping a few small additions to existing textures would be all it takes. If you don't mind, let me know and I'll get the names of the 4 girls.

I understand. I am actually only speaking of the head characters. We'll talk soon.

Jack,
Hope things are well. I am considering some characters based on fine art oil paintings and I still have an Edgar Allen Poe character that has been haunting me.

As far as the Woodland Elf girls, I'm looking for just existing celeb head models with maybe the border texture of the dress or shirt they are wearing to kinda have an Elf groove to it. Maybe an ivy crown or some pointy ears but that's about it. Not looking at whole body characters and haven't even delved into that part of it.

I would like to provide a link to the Edgar Allen Poe character and one of the fine art girls I described to see what you could do with them. I know my limits and that's why I would like to send them your way. Let me know if you are interested and I'll put up a link. -Oog

Here is the link to 2 characters I was hoping you could try for me. I think they would look really good.  I know the lady has some shading issues on the side of her face and my trials with Poe brought up some cool looking, almost cartoonish hair you might want to go for.

I think the eyes are crucial with these two and in my honest opinion, your ablility to capture a character's eyes go way beyond my novice means. Please give it a shot and if you find yourself not liking the creation process, then I'll take another try at them here in the near future.

Didn't get a chance to check out your new stuff. I can't wait to see what you got going on! I haven't felt like this since my good friends and I would check out each others work back in art school and that was in the 80's! Gimme a link to your latest please. Thanks my friend. -Oog

Please pardon me for adding my 2 cents:

I love the skirts, in fact I may try them on my gal again right away. What bothered me is that the skirt was more like a steel tube, it would not bend with the character in poses. If someone could make a skirt haptar that was flexible, I would definitely use it more.

And the other thing was getting the position of the skirt just right.

But it wasn't Jack's or anybody's fault, it's just the limitation of the skirt haptar. Wendy looks so beautiful with that skirt. I wish she was real, and mine!! [:D][:D][:D]

The two images I provided aren't too complicated. You'll see what I mean when you check them out. In fact, you'll probably wonder why I am asking you to make them, but trust me. I'm a good judge of these things, thus the hand off. I still need to check out your new stuff, man. Are they the additions I thought I saw on your web site? That site always blows my freakin' gourd. Too damn good, my friend! Is that a new tiger I spied? Does he come in white? Nudge nudge.

Jack, if you just work with her head, you'll find she makes a beautiful character. The shading on the side of her face looks a little messed up. Not sure how much you are into the fine art scene, but just as an image itself, what do you think of that painting? The girl has a haunting look in her eyes that somehow is captivating to me. The artist, Sargent is one of my favorites. If you do like the fine art thimg, check out his works. Above and beyond. The guy is somewhat of an unsung master. Please don't feel bad if I take another stab at these characters. Your Poe knocked it out of the park. The Poe character I was coming up with had some interesting characture like qualities that had their own charm. The realism you captured is beyond my talents but I am interested in persuing the cartoon like Edgar I was comijng up with before I realized we need your skills to really do Poe right. Indeed, you have done him right.

I guess what I'm trying to say is if I take another stab at him or the girl, don't feel insulted or see it as a challenge because it is not. There is a reason why I handed these 2 to you and your end result on Poe sums up why.

The technique of what you did with his hair is outstanding. I like thinking outside the box. You have the same knack for it. Using what limited abilites Putty offers, you have truly achieved.

I'm glad you understand. My feelings before were about some physical things I have coming down on me. I allowed my feelings to get hurt by confiding in a forum about AI. Why I would seek a terminal illness support group in an AI forum is beyond me. Lessoned learned.

I'll have to get you the name of the painting. The Poe I was coming up isn't better than what you have done here but different enough that it might be worth persuing. I would not have been able to get Vader looking right without using your original layout. I kinda like to think we both came up with that one. I really need to touch him up for a final release. I know what I do best and I know what you do best and the end result is all I really focus on. I know that alot of artists have an ego thing when it comes to how people respond to their work. That is why I walk on eggshells when we work on the same things.
