Help with plug-in's for ultra Hal6.0

I am tiring to install plug-ins but, the installer states that Hal 4.0 or later is present on the system and is needed to install the plug-in and will not install. It directs me to the zebaware site to download Ultra Hal 4.0 to complete the installation. and I can not find a version of 4.0 either there or through search engines. The plug-in's should work for 6.0 but can't get them installed has anyone else had this problem and can you help me get the to work.

Version 4.0 did not support plug-ins as does vers 6.0 and 6.1.

In the later versions Hal was rewritten to allow the use of a database format with topic tables, etc.

One of the best things you could do with your older Hal would be to use vonsmith's XTF Brain 1.1

Art Thanks so much for the super quick reply. I am new and already love Hal. I have the newest version 6.1 where can I find that brain plugin. and can you suggest anyplace that I might find script to input into halpad to supercharge his brain?

The XTF brain file is not compatible with Version 6.0 or 6.1

There are several ways you can "teach" Hal.

Normal (typed) chat as you would carry a conversation with someone.

The use of IF...THEN statements. This forces Hal to learn that IF certain conditions are present THEN this is the action or answer.

The use of Read from textfile. Use the clipboard.
