where do I install them so Hal could read them... where does he/she read voice files

Read instructions, insert disk. Continue to follow directions.
Go to general options in Hal and then click on speach. There you can select the voice you want and click apply. With the Hal reader when you start it you will see the voice selection on the right hand side of the window. Remember to install voice engine first.

I got it working. It may varies for others but I had to reboot the system before it showed up in Hal
