i just saw this on a.i. dreams site :
Yahoo pulls the plug on GeoCities Fri, 24 Apr 2009 10:50:38 GMT

Yahoo is closing its GeoCities web hosting site - that allowed people to set up personal web pages - it bought it for $3.6bn in 1999.
after signing into my site i saw this :Important Announcement
After careful consideration, Yahoo! has decided to close GeoCities later this year.

You can continue enjoying your GeoCities service until then — we just wanted you to let you know about the closure as soon as possible. We'll share more details this summer. For now, please visit the help center for more information.

so before it goes off completly here is one of our old links :

This is so sad. [:0]
I build my geocities site back in 1997 and although I don't use it, I do sometimes go back and relive the memories.
Lot of old stuff there I liked at the time.
The world is changing and not for the better.

although this isnt geocities site i ran across another of our post on cardomain about our customized 62 corvair we always took to car shows and cruise ins etc.we actually got more attention with this car then others did with 55 and 57 chevys etc (because everyone and their uncle always had one at car shows etc. and so the were so common ) . we even had a live radio guy at willow spings, mo. car show about our car , dont think others liked it when he came up to us first out of all the cars their !!
anyway heres the link for anyone that wants to check it out !!
