i was just thinking , what would be nice in hal and i think this could be done by tweeking ? a research plug in. is letting hal answer back as he usually does , then let a process of the subject talked about be assessed on the internet(without opening a page ) and hal would further talk on the subject . 
I think it would add to hals abilities , the set ? web page  for info . may have to be put in and maybe some random hal beginning sentences ,
example : well i think as far as (subject) ..... or well as far as i remember about {subject).... etc. etc.

For any people who actually tried cload's VRFreeWill and the AIML modifications of his, what you're talking about is exactly what those did. They allowed Hal to give a more detailed answer to the user's inqury. Sometimes the answer was a bit more than the user might have needed but they were always factual.

Too bad he left when he did.
