Hi all
I play a lot with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and when flying for 2hrs or less-no problem.  Normally after 2.5 to 3.5 hrs my computer crashes giving me a nv4_disp error.  I have tried many options i.e. upgrding bios, reinstalling FS2004, reinstalling my nvidia graphics driver etc.  After many months of trial and error the only solution I have found that is removing the Haptek program and then my pc works fine.  If anyone can help me with this I would be grateful because I dont want to stop using FlightSimulator and obviously ultrahal wont work well without the haptek program.  Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks, Kevin

Hi Kevin.

Have you installed the latest forceware drivers from nvidia?
You can get the latest forceware drivers from here.
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

If you already have the latest then kindly disregard this post.

Sincerely
Jerry.

Yep done it, Thanks Jerry
I wrote to haptek and asked them.  I downloaded their latest version too and erased my files etc and reinstalled haptek. I'm hoping that the problem is an old or corrupt file on my system.
I just flew a 7hr flight without haptek on my pc and it worked fine. Now to reinstall haptek and see he he he!!!
appreciate the help
best regards
Kevin

It could be a good idea to first install Haptek and then the latest Nvidia-drivers, in that order.

You might need to check you've got up-to-date DirectX too, I found problems without it.

Thanks Raymond and Freddy
