Voice Improvement Suggestions?

Purchased Cepstral voice engine Emily (English.  She doesn't sound as smooth and clear as in the sample.  Little abrupt on some words and not as articulate or smooth.  Running her with Hal on Dell with WIndows XP.  Any recommendations to improve quality?

I'm not an expert, but you could try closing any unneeded programs to free up more computer resources - text-to-speech can sometimes be resource hungry.

Did you also configure Emily's voice with Swittalker?

Just about every TTS voice will have some inconsistancies
with a word or combination of words now and then.

For now, treat it as a minor annoyance because the TTS
technology is improving all the time.
