Problem reinstalling Ultra Hal from CD

After installing a new hard drive I reinstalled Ultra Hal from my distribution CD, purchased September 20, 2005. The program would not work.  I downloaded Ultra Hal from the web sight and it works fine.  Any ideas on how I can get my CD to work?  I would rather not pay for the program a second time.

Which version of HAL do you have on disk?

Give us some details to go by, Can you be a little more informative about how the program doesn't work?

I can't find a version on the disk case or the disk. The only information I have is:
Ultra Hal Text-to-Speech Reader with NeoSpeech VoiceText (Paul & Kate). ORDER NUMBER: 14737835: Time of purchase: 9/15/2005 12:53:46 PM.
It may be a previous version.  I love the program and would purchase an update if I need to.
