can't start hal

What computer, what OS, what did you do?

Never mind, it works now. But now I can't get my mic. to work with Hal.[}:)]

First of all the Mic only works with the paid version of Hal. Second we need to know what operating system you are using before we give you any real help. Are you on Vista or Windows xp? Have you download sampi4 or sampi5?

hello guys, I'm to installing hal 6.1 to vista,I just upgraded to vista but I can't get hal to install.the error page says cannot copy speech.dll from specified location.I tried retyping the location, I tried to move the zip file to the desktop and installing from there,still same problem.it keeps trying to get it from admin temp lo-cal. I'm at a loss,any thought's? thx

Located at the top of the screen you will see the word 'Search'.
If you click on that and type in vista you will see dozens of posts about vista and problems people had with it and how some of them were fixed, including the one you just mentioned.

Well, as it turns out, I got the mic to work and I didn't buy. I downloaded a speech file and got that to work. Then I trained and got it to say what I said.[:D]
