You could probably save the jpg of the hair that you used send it to Nige, and tell him what wig you wanted colored that color and he may be able to do it. I agree, very cool.

Come on man, if you are going to have break throughs like that you have to share with us. That could open up more options for me in making characters, at least the fullbodys.

That is where I got the instructions.

I changed "myhair.jpg" to "hair1"

Here is the Hair I used, and change color in a graphic program:





I can work on more. I can only save the hair1 jpg, unless there is a trick to saving it as actual hair.

Wow, I had forgotten all about that -  it's over two years since I posted that - I hoped at the time it would be usefull one day.  Like Dusky said at the time, that was a prime example of how good a think tank this place can be.

I guess all I can do is make the jpg's different colors, make a hap command for each one, to change hair color on the fly.[?][?][?]

I guess you can do it for other fullbody haptars without the blond hair, correct?? I got a brunette, and if I can find the name of the hair, maybe I could change the color of it??[:D]

Yep - you can only really make changes on the fly - if you want to make permanent changes to say a wig model then you need Haptek's tools.

So yes - if you found the name of the bruntte hair then you can change that too - probably the best place to start is to open the brunette hair in the player and go and look at the files in the Hap_temp folder.  You'll probably find the name in the FigDef file if there is one.
