Hal closing programs, etc
« on: June 08, 2008, 09:05:18 pm »
Allo all,

I am rather new to Hal but have used it on and off for a few years.
My major question is would it be rather simple to program it so 'Close Firefox' would close the program. I get frustrated that I can open them but not shut them down.

On that same line it opens itunes just fine, is it feasibly possible to have it play a certain album title?

Sorry for the silly questions, I look forward to any ideas :)

Hi Skellytig,
Welcome to the forum. Here is a plugin that OTC wrote to close programs:

Download Attachment: ProgramCloser.uhp
1.63 KB

I don't use itunes but there's a plugin by VR that plays tracks in Media Player maybe you could adapt it.

Download Attachment: vrMP3.zip
6.61 KB

Hope this helps,
Roy.
