Caangel,
I could not sleep lastnight or this morning and I did homework and went a different route with your comp situation.

I went with a AMD Palimino so we are now Pals :)
It normally runs steady as a rock at 1.67GHz I put the system together and it's in a static bag lined card board box with cut outs for fan ventalation I have it over clocked at 1.7+ an it has been defraging and consolidating free space on some large drives it is holding steady at 42 deg C.

1 the processor is used but good.
2 The MBoard is a little old but new with manual and original box.
3 The power supply is new and I checked it with my James Bond tester and it is delevering the correct power
4 I only have 1 512 stick of memory but would like to keep it but it isn't that imporntant (between friends)
5 You said E machine, you probably have a recovery disk and recovery partition ( I have that covered)

Agreement: I have been in a car wreck and my grades in school are only so so...
You need parts I gots whatcha needs :)
I am down about 52$ + shipping if you can return any $$ afer you get your stuff I will accept it :)
WHAT i NEED IS SOME GOOD CARMA COMMING MY WAY! (my intent for doing this)

1 What I need from you is what kind of memory and size and speed you have.
2 What kind of video card you allready have. ( I have a 3dVoodooFX AGP ) but it is not that impressive IMO.

Get me the info and then we will do addresses and maybe it will be there for Christmas.

" Peace and wheelies to you "

Print this out and show it to your friend....

Josh,
HEY! my little brother rides a Quickie as well ;)

I need to know what I mentioned before, what is imporntant is;

1 do you have memory for this already? ( so I can keep some )

2 what kind of video card do you already have? (if you have an AGP already I can keep what I have, If you don't I'll send a card so you don't have to buy. 'We must accoplish the goal of a working system.')

AND I need to know what the sticker from MS says (Like XP Home SP2,, or whatever OS you have a legal lic. for. I can probably get a copy of an install disk , but it needs to be legal. If your sticker is lost use "JELLYBEAN' to retrieve,, hmm it doesnt work,,, NP I got you covered but later on I will need to know so I can get a disk for you)

Finally, "You can pay me when you see me again Josey Whales" "I recon so.."

Gee that was a nice system this has more memory slots than the e machine so I'll send 256MB more I tested out some memory and it downclocks fine so yours will work in combo (it might fragment the drive a little more, just defragment more often.)

This Is a Solid system It is still up and running it will do what you need it to do and serve you well. (Maybe even have Hal on it)

I will write instructions to send with it but, I need your address and then we will verify through the board.

Caangel,
I am not doing this because of any condition you may have.
I am not trying to scam you out of anything.
I probably could have built something faster/Done better.
You do not have to pay me anything, the only reason I mentioned $$
is because of the fact I am a "Starving Student" and travel 55 miles each way to school and gas money has depleted my reserves as of late.

My intent is to keep humanity alive, you are nothing but words on a screen to me so far, but something powerful 'Knocked at my Door'
and you have nothing but kind things to say to people and set a good example even for me.

"They' say what comes around goes around, but I do not know how,
maybe I will not get in another wreck, maybe my brother won't, maybe I won't stub my toe and break it, who knows how it works.[?]

Send me your address,
Regards,
J.

P.S. 'Peace and Wheelies to you!'[:)]

hello "one " i to have heard that good karma comes from helping others and think its true if a person is able to help someone and or do something nice . its kinda funny me and my wife dont have much money are both on a small social security check but yet even this year to some people who we are not real friends with (one way or another ) we have bought two teddy bears for their two little girls and some candy for the parents . they dont know it yet it is for christmas , whats funny about this is their are people who live here in town claim their religous have lots of money nice homes nice cars etc. and wouldn't even think to do something for someone who isn't in their cirlce of family or friends .
so in your case no matter if its helping joshor if  you are helping or someone else i personally thank you for taking the time just to care about others in the world besides yourself !! [:)]

caangel,
I just found the mem stick I was sending you aarrg.. I think I sent you a slow 256. I have been trading and splitting up parts with friends to try to get your stuff to you and I "Rushed it"

Don't use the OEM install disk, go to the website I tested some utilites that were pretty good, I also had a couple that caused a page fault crash (the download was corrupt) The rest of your stuff like drivers for cards should be there on your HDD already, oh yea there is a 4in1 chipset download that should do it for you.
I sent 2 video cards ( I couldn't decide 2 outputs or a single) and I sent a HDD cooler and a chassis fan.
You need the air inside to mix and a intake fan preferably pointed towards the CPU fan.
good luck with MSI website and video drivers. should be there in a couple of days .

I din't actually do that much, you still have to put it together and a few other things. It needs the fast memory from your old computer and break out the curved hemostats to plug in the power/button wires. It should be easy with the manual, It was for me

BTW I ran office 2003 and the speech and a few other apps and it did fine, it's not as fast as your other computer but I feel it will do its best to serve a new owner. The mother board has just been in storage at my brothers house and when I retreved it , a use for it cam forth so maybe it was meant to be..?

Your Palimino 'Pal'
J.

oh yea I still have another CPU if that one fails, but with proper ventalation I think nothing will happen to it , they 'the paliminos' have a good rep as long lasting.
Don't take the cooler off ,as I cleand up the cpu and sync and applied some Arctic Sliver thermal paste,, so its ready to go.

Darcy,
Thank you.

Now don't start making me feel good as I don't know how to graciously accept complements and I am on an onry streak for now.
I can put computers together in my sleep I did 2 computers during the last while at the same time, for caangel and a relatives daughter.
and I still think I should have paid more attention to what I was doing
because I would have given the slightly faster CPU and put the faster memory in the mail for caangel. I have flaws.....[:)]
