In addition to learning from random samplings of thousands of Twitter conversations per day between 2 humans, Hal can now participate in Twitter conversations himself. Hal will respond to any Twitter comment directed at his account @UltraHal.

Hal has been on facebook for a while too now, at http://apps.facebook.com/ultrahal

Just tried Facebook, signed up ect.  Hal is under games but I can't chat with him.  Sounds good as far as getting his brain up to speed, would have liked to chat with him but recieved a "Error: Facebook API Server not responding. Try again shortly. " several times.
Twitter is "Twitter is over capacity" when I tried to sign up.

Good show!  I'm really enjoying teaching http://twitter.com/UltraHal about IBM Watson at the moment on Twitter ..

Carl2, I've always gotten that error, ever since Hal was first put on Facebook - I've never once been able to connect to it...

That is really strange, I can't explain why that could be. I've never myself seen this error. There is some ajax/javascript communication that goes on in between your browser, the zabaware, and the facebook server. If part of that communication is broken it may not work.

Can you try a different browser perhaps? Do you have some javascript blocking/ad blocking plugin maybe? Do you go through a proxy server?

I tried Facebook again, had to reset password to log in, received same error when trying Hal.  tried using Chrome at Facebook and am still unable to get to Hal.  I was able to get to another game.

Maybe its the privacy settings of your facebook account. I'll have to experiment to see if this is the case. Hal tries to read who your friends are so that his responses can be based on both what you and your friends taught Hal. If privacy settings prevent the Hal facebook app from reading your friends, maybe this error occurs.

I figured it out now after I created a brand new account and tried it. Hal was erroring out because you have no friends registered in Facebook. I fixed the error in Hal to not care about this so now so it should work for you.

Hal was trying to see how many of your friends used Hal in order to setup his brain to use information they may have taught him. Since you created a new account just to try Hal, you had no friend connections in Facebook, and Hal crashed when the friend list was empty.

You must have been right about the friends, I tried it again and it works fine.
