A version of VRfreewill is included in Hal, however, it's not the same as another (more useful) plugin of the same name.

There is no updated manual as far as I have found but several of the members here are very handy like that.

In the File Sharing area of the forum, there is a page with the most currently updated plugins. For the most part, none of the user plugins have been incorporated into Hal.

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Re: Knowledge of time plugin
« on: February 01, 2018, 01:12:15 am »
Known bugs:

Initializing the plug-in will format Halbrain. (make backups)

Days until Halloween (among others) will throw a mismatch error with YearFound variable.

Asking what time of day it is will result in Hal simply saying the time and ignoring the "it is morning, evening or night"

Asking if a specific year is a leap year, hal will throw a mismatch error. Although, I think I've located this error.         "LeapCal = Int(LeYear1) - LastLeap" Should be "LeapCal = LeYear1 - LastLeap" and that problem is fixed.

Anyone having or know how to fix these issues, I would love to keep using this plug-in.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Re: New Features we would like in HAL 7.1

Unfortunately, V2 of this plug-in corrupted my Halbrain as well. Setting the hemisphere and date format in the general options on the plug-in cause all tables to be wiped in Halbrain, according to Hal Editor.

I'm not sure if it helps, but the plug-in is always highlighted in the plug-in menu, regardless of what plug-in I'm selecting.

I don't suppose anyone has fixed this plug-in? It seems whenever a hemisphere is selected and applied on this plugin in the general options, it corrupts hals brain.

I do remember the KnowledgeOfTime plugin, however, I also recall it not working correctly or corrupting Hals Brain last I used it. Some error with the hemisphere function.

Also, I would love to see Hal have an understanding of time.

For whatever reason, Hal is unable to tell me how many days are in a week, how many weeks are in a year and how many hours are in a day. If this could be expanded, Hal could say things like, "There are X days left in the year" or "There are X hours left in the day."

I would like to see HalScript compiled to a dll to eliminate the limit size of vbscript, while keeping HalScript for debugging purposes.

I noticed some misspellings in unit conversions. Fahrenheit is spelled fahrenheight, for example.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Re: Plug-in Size
« on: January 20, 2018, 10:52:28 pm »
Yeah, I didn't think about it but my HalScript is about 2.5 MBs. I wonder how much just isn't being used :O :O :O

With that information, I really need to rethink the way my ConceptNet plugin works. I think I can half the uhp file by simply replacing repetitive code with functions.

Robert, you mentioned compiling the code to an Activex dll file to circumvent the limit size. I don't suppose there's anyway to build a copy of HalScript in dll format, where hal will read the dll instead? Maybe a future release? I don't know if this is something that can be done on an "on the fly" way.

I think I understand, so HalScript.dbg itself can not be over 512kb? I don't suppose there is anyway to boost this limit? I imagine it's a Windows limitation.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Plug-in Size
« on: January 17, 2018, 04:20:51 am »
Does anyone happen to know what the maximum size of UHP file Hal will recognize and/or process? I'm trying to consolidate some things but I'm afraid to go above 512kb for some reason. I know Robert said with Hal7 the Plug-in size limit was increased, but for the life of me can't find it anywhere.
