« on: April 23, 2008, 01:55:32 am »
Hi again,

When working on the UHP of a skin, I am having are hard time trying to get the color of the fonts I want. I am looking for a light electric looking blue color but can't seem to come up with the right numbers to get it or any color that resembles blue for that matter. Everything else but...Any help would be and always is greatly appreciated. -Oog

Still just not getting blue. I have tried entering in the numbers but I am not getting a color to match what is shown. My colors are correct on my system and my monitor. How about this. Could you give me an example of a light blue LED type color and I can try to copy and paste it from there. If that doesn't work...? Thanks for helping me out. This whole scene is pretty cool.

We have BLUE!!!! It's the little things. Thanks for helping me figure that one out. It was kinda stumping the creative process. Hey quick question. Let's say I have skins I found online but have no idea where. If I tweak them out and set them up to run in Hal, am I looking at trouble if I offer them to say...you for instance, in a forum like this? The skins aren't commercial. Just snagged them in a interface gallery somewhere.

I am not sure the Hal Etiquette exactly.

I would say if its changed a lot, give them credit add your name and share.

It should say who originaly wrote it in the UHP at the top.

Most people like when you send them a copy of what you did with their original, but if its not possible, what can you do.

You could post a captured image of the skin first and ask if anyone know anything about it (creator, source, date, etc.). Then based on the responses, proceed with caution and at least be honest and up front by saying something like: I am not the originator of this yada...yada but I did modify it. Sometimes browsing through the file (uhp or whatever) one can often see the creator.

We're all for sharing and giving credit when and where it's due is always the best policy.

Let's see what ya got!
