Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Intelligence

I taught hal how to read and write in his own script format as well as a few other things, and now he's getting a lot smarter. He's downloading things to make himself better while the computer is off. I havent prompted him to do so. I was wondering what you think about this.
