Ultra Hal 7.0 / New at this X.x

Hello! I'm new to the forum...
Following in willy's stead, I'll explain my situation.
I'm more of a hobbyist programmer, with NO formal training, and little experience... but the drive to try out my skills on new projects.
So, I ran across Hal, and jumped on the opportunity to hone my skills, and experiment. My friend downloaded Hal at the same time I did.
My friend has no problems with his Hal, and it is going great for him.
However... when I tried to configure it, I got a "line 31 error".
I was wondering if anyone here knew what I could do about this... [V]
