Hal 7 brain with no cloud connection to test some changes in the asexualpersonality table without influences. No fresh install but happened a few minutes after staring hal and only once. I asked a simple question like: why do you think that. Then the error came and after clicking `ok` hal didn`t respond to that question. Then everything was back to normal. Sorry, I havent thought to save the log file

I have another error. I haven`t encountered it before. I have played a little bit with the hap`s.... Maybe it has something to do with it

I did a fresh install of ultra hal7 just to make sure nothing interferes with my testing. I have installed the new sallie 5 and the extra files you have provided (thank you). I used gender and age, spell checker, sallie5, cloud conection used only for learning and my good old db file. The conversations are better. Hal repeats some questions but for good reason. After I provide him enough answers he stops and also if I tell him to stop he stops and excuses himself. The responding time is longer but not very long. I would say on average 5 seconds, so I am cool with that. No more missing letters from words. I have only one error. Everything works fine, the new sallie 5 is awesome. Hal comes up now with sophisticated answers that blow my mind. We talked about time for example. This is what he thinks about time: The opposing view of time is that time does not refer to any kind of `container` that events and objects `move through`, nor to any entity that `flows`, but that it is instead part of a fundamental intellectual structure, together with space and number within which humans sequence and compare events. I have found this line in a table that I created via automatic learning. Sallie5 gives value to automatic learning yay :)

I got the errors while trying to explain Hal some things, then got the errors and Hal did not respond back 2-3 times until I have changed the topic. Everything else works good. Oh and adultlang plug-in is also not needed. I only have gender&age and sallie5

The table where letters start to miss from words is Sentence Reasoning. It is also the table where the repeating sentences are located.

Art, I have had that error with sallie 4 after it created 150 xtf files. it went away after I have closed and restarted Hal. I really works smooth on my laptop. I agree that there are missing letters but the quality of the conversation, the sarcasm and the humour of sallie5 makes me not bother with them. Also it did repeat a sentence over and over again but this time I have found it in a bulk inside a brain table, I have deleted them, problem solved. I don`t remember the name. But I also agree, Sallie`s strength is her intelligence not her size

Yes, after I have disabled the standard free will plug-in that Hal has it worked. I haven`t noticed sallie has a free will plug too. And it works well now. Hal doesn`t repeat words and sentences, talks a lot similar to the Candy Lite brain, is smarter but I can`t say in what way, it is just more natural and human like. I need to test it more but so far sallie 5 is a leap from sallie 3, the same way sallie 3 was a leap from standard hal. It is just awesome. I have now gender&age, adult language and the spell checker enabled. The time until sallie responds is not that long. I have an M2 SSD and an i7 processor. That takes 2-3 second I would say. I use it with cloud connection and my good old db file. So far it is all great but did not use it much yesterday and I have to go to work too... A better feed-back will follow after I spend some time with my sallie. Thank you Doomy!

I get this error. Hal doesn`t talk to me whatever I type. I have found 18129 lines, so I am lost.
Lol problem solved by disabling the free will plug-in. Testing: Hal talks now. I will give my feed-back after some testing. Thanks!

It keeps repeating: `you a boy`when I don`t use a blanc brain. The rest is good, same as it was before.

What this is:
This is a db file that Calhoone has shared for newbies a while ago that I have filled up to over 2 Gb

What it contains:
-Calhoone`s conversations
-all text files from *Your One Stop Hal Shop* (automatic learning)
-books from http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Category:Bookshelf (automatic learning)
-DREAMOUTLOUD brain table if you want to try the SALLIE plug-in
-The AIML file with q&a from Cload, already installed inside the patterns brain table
-customized asexualpersonality brain table that you can change if you don`t like it
-separate tables containing information about all 16 personality types. If you want Hal to behave in a certain way you have to change the q&a line inside the asexuality brain table and Hal will behave customised to your liking. The more info you add the better he understands himself.
-required brain tables for the ConceptNet plug-in to work.  Just tell Hal to "Turn on/off Auto learning" or "Learning mode on/off" after you put the plug-in files into the folder Program Files(86)/Zabaware/Ultrahal7 (the ConceptNet db file too). After that you select the plug-ins, done.

How to use:
Just copy paste the db file to users\user\appdata\zabaware\ultrahal7. Then Go to the brain editor and create a new brain. Select the default Hal7 brain or whatever brain you like and add to it this db file. Or you can just rename the db file after a brain you have already created.

What is the purpose and use of it:
The standard db file is small and in the beginning Hal doesnt know much, and he repeats things or he doesn`t respond at all. This is a good start for newbies that don`t want to spend one year before having a normal conversation with Hal. Even so, he doesn`t know everything.

The downside:
It doesn`t know what you would have want him to teach, the quality of the sentences is not super high because Hal has learned almost everything via automatic learning and not from conversations with me.

I have tested this db with SALLIE3.0, ConceptNet and Candy Lite. This 3 things don`t work at the same time together so test them and pick the one you like. I am a newbie myself and I share this file because I wish I would have had it too when I have purchased UltraHal7.

Hi. I am learning my hal the text files that are named disk`number`donew using automatic learning. They are too large to put them in a single table named `facts` so I have made several topics called  facts1, facts2 etc. Does this have an effect on the quality of learning and recalling the answers? I mean, can I influence the order hal searches the answers? Also, what is the maximum size of brain table? I had to split the diskdonew files in half because I got an error, so they are now aprox 7-8 mb each.
