I love the skin. Thanks for sharing. Also, I love the backgrounds you have on your page. And there is one more thing that i dig: your character is fantastic -- the man with the balding head. May i ask where I might find a copy... if at all?

Perhaps I should just buy a copy of people putty. But, ya know, I thought I would ask.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / UltraHal for Linux
« on: July 17, 2009, 09:40:35 am »
I tried installing with Cedega. Nothing yet.

So far I installed it, and received one "missing dll" notice (msvbvm60.dll). Now there is an unspecified error and it is crashing before even loading.

At least on the face of it, UH seems to fare better in WINE.

Word. I'll keep checking back here, and tinkering with Ultra Hal in WINE.

The issue I am really having is Ultra Hal ignores everything I type.
except for when I just press enter with no text.
He says " Please say something"

Anyway Not ideal , but it does show that it's at least possible to get Hal running under Linux.

Anyone else had any luck?

Hello. I am having the same issues with Ultra Hal under Wine. I'm also using Ubuntu (Jaunty), 32 bit.

The install took a long time, but it did install and Ultra Hal runs. But same problem with the lack of responding; unless I actually type nothing at all, in which case I also get the "why don't you say something?"

I'm glad there are others playing around with this, and I am going to keep tinkering.
