Ultra Hal 7.0 / Suggestions
« on: November 07, 2003, 01:34:09 pm »
Some things I would like to see (Wish List) added to Hal are.

Caller ID... Have Hal see incomming calls on modems that support it
and have him keep a record or database of them so you by their name or some assignment can call them back or at least get their number?

Hyperlink... Have Hal remember a link by a name or subject you say
so that you can say what was the health link again and hal would go there.

X10...  Consider Hal controling home lighting etc using X10 and the PC serial port. This would be cool... Hal turn on the hall light or even Hal at 6:00am turn on the Bedroom lamp.

Just a few thoughts from someone who is a Visual Basic programmer and a BIG fan of this cool program called HAL....

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Discounts
« on: November 06, 2003, 07:22:25 pm »
I orginally Purchased Hal at 3.0 and then Purchased Hal 4.5 as well.
I was wondering if there was any discount on Hal 5.0 having been a past customer.

Thanks

Ultra Hal 7.0 / run and exe or play a wav etc..
« on: January 24, 2003, 10:01:49 pm »
I add the following to the vbscript as a test to see if I can make
hal play a song, it works...

'Inserted to shell for a song.
If InStr(UserSentence, "PLAY AARON") > 0 Then
Set objWSHShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
objWSHShell.Run("realplay.exe D:CreativeworkAaronsSpaz.mp3")

Is there a way I ask to make hal say something I place directly in quotes like here is your song?

I also would love to see the ability in the keyword function to run an exe from its path even if it does not have a shortcut. I would
also like to see music added like "play this" as a command.
"Display this" and perhaps "visit web site"

If you have any ideas or if zabaware reads this maybe they could share their thoughts on this as well.
