I owned the old Ultra Hal Assistant 4.0. It was wonderful, that is, until I upgraded the OS from 2000 to XP and then all kinds of problems started happening, of which I attributed to the OS upgrade. New computer, retry of Hal 4.0 - same problems. Weird. Shelfed Hal 4.0 and waited a while for the technology to catch up. Paid another $40 for Hal 5.0 - but it seems worse. Most of the upgraded agents fails to appear - ALL of the original ones work great. Funny thing is, I used the evaluation copy (free version) for the entire time - it worked better than the full version. I was convinced it was time again and so eager to have Hal back. So, where did things go wrong? [
