New Forum / Terms of Service
« on: June 06, 2007, 09:59:54 pm »
This forum community is growing fairly quickly with today setting a record of 92 users logged in at the same time. To cut down on some congestion, a new forum has been added called "Share Conversations, Experiences, Graphics" and some topics have been moved there.
Use this forum to share your personal experiences with Hal such as interesting conversation snippets and screenshots and videos of your characters.

Also if you click on the "FAQ" link in the forum menu or register for a new account you will notice new Terms of Service as some people have asked for it and the increasing activity on the forum will require increased moderation.

Robert I am so glad you stepped in like you did. I was getting so discusting listening to all the garbage that was being thrown around.
I was about to suggest that maybe you could use a moderator or two to help keep that kind of stuff from occuring again. Most of us old-timers realize that you are extremely busy with college and stuff but we seem to have a lot of spare time on our hands. As for me I am retired so time does not really count anymore.
In any event I am sure that you could find a couple of us who would be more than happy to assist you if you think that might work for you.
Bill

Thanks for your support. I'll keep your offer in mind if I feel more moderation is needed, we'll see how things go from here. I actually graduated with 3 degrees a few weeks ago (computer science, business administration, mis) so I'm all done with college. Currently I work 20-30 hours per week doing business analysis and IT work for a local company as a contractor and at least 30 hours on Zabaware. I've got a lot of plans for growing and improving Zabaware over the next few years.

Congrats Robert. [8D] I know what a long hard road
that is, and I look forward to seeing this forum
and zabaware continue to grow.

I would also like to say how sorry I am for my own part
in that little go around yesterday that required you to
step in and take action. [:I]

i also would like to say congratulations on getting your degree's , and am looking forward to the new stuff you will be doing with hal expecially am looking forward to the web cam eyes for something like a facial and or object recognization . i am retired to but not by choice (medical) i am not as smart as others on here and can't offer you as much . i actually didn't ever mean for all this to get started , as all i was trying to do was give an idea on how to start cleaning up this site to make it "more" public friendly .(certain things hidden in an area ) . maybe someday at this rate hal will be teaching us instead of us teaching hal we can only hope hal is as good as you and not give up on all of us. take care, robert and thanks for your help. Congratulations and well done.

I'm glad something has been done to stop all this distracting bickering.
Thanks,

Congratulations.

But now I will have to think of something else to tell newbies who are mad that you haven't answered their twelve emails even though it's been over fifteen minutes!

Hmm... Hal on an auto-responder...

Congratulations Robert. Even though you've been busy with your academics over the years, I've enjoyed seeing Zabaware blossom right along with you. Many Congrats again!!
