Hal as search engine?

Time is ticking.
The files are growing.
86% I possible read are free files. Really?
We would have to have a search engine that
Was even close to working to know.
Nobody has bothered yet.
If it's me cause I'm first in some cases then
Can someone please make a slightly smarter search engine
Example search
Thing.oldest date.licence type non commercial
A couple of million files to search.

If I search Hawaiian pizza and I get key chain Hawaiian pizza first it's a fail.
If I search large fries then if  real food I am your man.

There are restaurants so food is nice.
Cheeseburger yip me.
Whipped cream. Real food.
Apple pie. Real food.
Oxygen.
Oil.
Gold.
Water.

And the most famous 3d print ever   Tea earl grey hot.

Yes someone was going to be the owner of these things.
If when you run a search and I don't show, the engine failed.
I've held these long and hard won.
But if I want to find a nice direction for the future and all who follow  it's a
Working search.

Please read my previous post once again and note where I mention that the Internet is not owned by any one entity and that it is a huge collection of nets and sub-nets that encircle the globe.

Wouldn't you be far better in voicing your concerns or complaints with one of the aforelisted 3D sites? Perhaps they would be interested in your refined Search Engine criteria.

As it is, there are tens of thousands of 3D printers from cheap to expensive and printing all types of plastic and in some cases, medical and food-based items as well. The market is saturated and inundated with all degrees of hobbyist, amateur, and professional alike. Many of the items are offered FREE and some as we know, are commercial, professionally produced to strict standards for architects, developers, planners, etc.

What you suggested earlier about using HAL for something like this is admirable but extremely outside the scope of what HAL can do. You are talking about a dream where all the possible threads and sources and hubs of the Internet come together to agree to a set of standards so that there can be an Internet Search Engine for 3D objects.

My friend, I honestly don't see such a thing happening in my lifetime. But, keep pushing your dreams...perhaps one day...

Cgtrader 2 million plus users.

There is a big market with no working search.
Millions.
If I sat down a made a search page there must be a waythat can work and make money. Adds on the side bar?

Yip. But not that many the bulk are 10 or so.
2.38 million files a very small file.
Used to be easy to watch our rights were observed.
Failure of searches.

Yip i own all of those outlets. Every one.
In your private home where ever.
When you print a thing ,,,, and sell it then you
Must obey the law.
Only I can sell a 3d printed Hawaiian pizza.
Even if it's your machine.
I may set up a automated pay me a small fee to use page.
Or say no you can't sell that thing.

All those printers are my outlets.

I say what my outlets can sell being all 3d printers.

Some things are free to make sell and change.

There are millions of people involved in 3d printing now.
I'm just one.
With out a way to even look up what they want.

Yip my dream ,well some of it is a search engine so smart it can find a word correctly. Millions of people could find something.

That sounds like lots of traffic for those who are looking for  that.


Being a Zabaware fan from way back and seeing some fascinating work around here. And in  3d printing.
It made sense to be here when what is needed is some smart searcher.
Had Hal written all over it.
