yes I have and when it first boots up Hal will give its greeting and time, talking , then hal goes silent to reponses

Hal stop talking, I checked all the audio settings, I checked the box to speak text in hal General options. I don't know why he was talking perfectly the other day. Any suggestions

I have both hal 6.1 and hal reader but I can not get hal to spaek in the hal reader voices how do I go about doing this.?
