Art, single partition, my searching shows I have little recourse in removing XP. I may try to trim the WINDOWS directory if I get desperate.

Bill819, My so-called SurgeSlayer still has that little green LED that says I am "Protected"... I don't think it was a spike, since XP fixed it.

Spydaz, Fixored my boot.ini, that helps.

I guess instead of a new hard drive, I will backup, format, and purchase an XP license.

Why can't I just live in the past like I used to ???
