this program doesnt work. i type in stuff and he doesnt respond. i made sure that the default brain is installed, but it still just doesnt work, even when i test it through the brain editor

Maybe I can help, it is a bummer when a program does not work.[:(] First things first, what operating system are you using? Is your computer working ok with other programs? Try reinstalling Hal with the disk, and choose repair, and then restart your computer. Test the Voice output when you choose a voice. What is the processor speed? I got Hal to work by doing the install again, and clicked repair. I then rebooted my computer and Hal worked great! I hope this helps.[8D]
