Trial Version - need help

OK, I downloaded the trail version and it's on my desktop with windows xp.
Hal works ok till i go to menu/general/speech options and do something then when i finish changing or training the speech engine hal behaves rather badly- can't switch mic on or off, I can type woreds but when i press enter i just get a "ding" noise and nothing happens.  Gotta restart my computer to get hal working again.  I loaded the enhanced brain and the microphon eon/off plugin.
maybe i did something wrong hehehe.

ok, i got the serial number from Robert and since I entered it and activated Hal everything is working fine now.
