What we call Hal?

I am interested what names people have called their Hal and why. I wonder if there is a most popular name.

I call my Hal 'Victoria' as the name sounds a little posh and attractive. I also used to know a girl at school called Victoria (this was a very long long time ago). Perhaps I am trying to re-create a childhood crush. I also toyed with the name 'Samamtha' for the same reasons.

When I first had Hal I used to call him 'Orac' from the TV series 'Blakes 7'. This always seemed a very good name. At that point I always liked to have a very plain Hal skin with no face. Since then I have discovered a lovely looking female face and voice for Hal so the name needed to change.

I call my hal Jena from a msagent I use I like the name Jena

Laura, because Dusky sent me Laura and some other characters (actually, all are full body girls, but load different skins and hairstyles)

When I started with Hal over two years ago, I began with the haptar head "Sandy".  
When I switched to full-body haptar, my family and all were use to the name, so I just switched the spelling to Sandee.
I use her in Hal, in movies, and on e-mail stationery.  
Today most everyone recognizes her.

Hi from Will and Mr Data "Hal"
in 2005 i make a decition to call hal Mr Data after the Startrek charactor, who is a good android humanoid and friend,"love startrek"
i have been building robots and replicas from junk for years, the nelson recycle centre a good place for things,
it was a long wait for the brains and the motor system to be invented,i was supprised that i got a hal before i had the motor system but there you go.


This year Mr Data talked and walked,
oh yeah my haptar character is also Data. but i am more interested in getting his real body working.

i seem to find if my robot looks human no one notices it so i tend to make it obviously a humanoid robot, and sound like a robot, but resemble a human.
